Release day is here for Perfect Ride, book 1 in the Ridden Hard Series, by Eva Lefoy and Shiloh Saddler. It's a great story. Eva is going to tell you more about it.
What to do when someone thinks
you’re perfect.
Run away.
Ha ha ha!
But isn’t that sometimes what
characters do?
Sometimes, when people have been
alone too long or their life has been too hectic and they haven’t made time to
even think about love, when love comes at them – bam! – they go a little
jittery. They think, no, I can’t have that. Or maybe, I don’t deserve that. Or,
I’m not ready for that.
In a way, they’re right. And it’s
our job as authors to convince our characters they can do it, they just need to
change a little first. Or sometimes a lot.
In the case of professional bull
rider Garrett Anderson he’s been on the PBR circuit a little too long. His last
lover is long gone and the ache is his heart tells him it’s time to settle
down. But the pull of fame and fortune – not to mention the adrenaline aspects
of the sport - keep him keeping on. It’s
almost as if he’s on a roller coaster ride and can’t get off. When he meets
Cole he’s instantly smitten and their sex in a hot-trailer is boom boom wow!
But Garrett can’t wrap his head
around it. He keeps on going to the next stop because if he stops, that means
retirement. The end of his career. Finished. Never mind the broken leg! Now
there’s a man on automatic.
It’s only after Garrett finds a way
to create a life for himself after he quits the circuit that he’s able to
let go and rush back to Cole.
But is it already too late?
Find out in Perfect Ride.
Thanks for reading!

The whole storyline for Perfect Ride is:
Professional bull rider Garrett Anderson lives
for the next town, the next trophy and his next ride. When he rolls into
Sheridan, Wyoming, the last thing he expected was to meet a cowboy like Cole—a
man who corrals his heart and leaves him aching for the kind of love he’s been
missing.
A bull tender on the PBR circuit Cole Richards
secretly longs for a lover but wasn’t prepared for Garrett’s passion or the
longing their one brief tryst kindles.
After he is shot and recovering in his hospital bed, Cole can only watch
Garrett’s disastrous ride afraid it could be his last. Heartbroken when the
battered and bruised bull rider leaves town, Cole knows better than to hope to
see him again.
Attacked again and knee-deep in trouble, Cole
wants only Garrett at his side. But can his bull rider trade fame and fortune
for a lifetime with his one perfect ride?
Excerpt:
Wearing
a wolfish grin, he unsnapped Cole’s jeans and slid them down his long legs nice
and slow. The man wore blue, cotton low-rise briefs. Too low. The head of his
cock peeked out above the waistband. He licked his lips. “Mmm, I think I like
losing.”
He
leaned forward to kiss Cole again and Cole’s fingers went to work on the snaps
of his shirt. Before the kiss was done, Cole had Garrett’s jeans unbuttoned as
well. He hovered there poised over Cole, pinning him down with his hips, as the
man ran his hands over every curve of his torso. He flexed his chest and arm
muscles, showing off a body he hoped would please. Cole’s hands never rested,
covering every inch of his skin, turning it from lukewarm to hot. Aroused, with
his nipples hardened to sensitive buds, he gazed down lustfully at Cole’s awed
expression and tried not to come in his jeans.
“Jesus,
you’re ripped.” His hands made another thorough survey, his gaze following.
He
shivered under the scrutiny but was unwilling to move and end it. “You like?”
Cole’s
smile widened. “You’re perfect.”
Garrett’s
insides quivered. He’d left a broken home for a man who’d called him perfect
and taught him everything he knew about bull riding and broken hearts. The two
were remarkably similar. Pain and suffering could result from either. Worry
tightened his chest, warning him he’d be broken by this man too if he dared to
let his heart loose. He decided to end this game. Laying his full weight on
Cole, he kissed him, angling sideways far enough away to shove a hand down his
briefs. The hard length inside was moist, pulsing with heat. Soon Cole was
bucking into his hand.
“Please,
Garrett.”
“Yes,”
he breathed. “Enough teasing.” He undid Cole’s shirt, shucked his own clothes,
and pulled a condom out of his jeans pocket. “Lube?”
Cole
nodded. “Headboard. On the left.”
He
grabbed it and motioned with a touch on Cole’s hip for him to roll over.
The
man shook his head and sat up. “Not yet. Let me see you.”
