I owe my lovely hostess a huge thank you for having me over today. My paranormal romantic comedy, Flirting with Fire, was just released by Decadent Publishing. It features a clueless fire mage, his fed-up cat familiar, and Madame Eve’s renowned one-night stand service. On All Hallows’ Eve, this witch and warlock iron out the kinks of an outdated employment contract in a spectacularly fiery fashion (and once you read the blurb, my very odd description will make a lot more sense).
In celebration, I’m giving away a $15 gift card. To enter, leave a comment here, and drop your details in the Rafflecopter widget

Flirting with Fire (A Witch’s Night Out, 1)
Apprentice witch Catalina Gato is prohibited from assuming her human form in front of her new employer without his express permission. Since he doesn’t know he’s a warlock, he can’t give it, leaving her in a familiar’s limbo. To make matters worse, she’s barred from leaving his house, and her attempts to enlighten him of his true nature results in burnt notes, charred walls, and exploding laptops.
On All Hallows’ Eve, she gets one night of freedom. Deciding some no-strings-attached sex might take the edge off the intense attraction she feels for her clueless boss, she signs up for Madame Eve’s service. When she meets her masked mystery date at the Castillo Capital, she realizes she might have gotten much more than she bargained for.
After being gifted a one-night stand from his annoying best friend, attorney Leo Difuoco reluctantly ventures to the Castillo Capital to celebrate Halloween. When he meets his oddly familiar green-eyed date in a Cat Woman costume, flames literally ignite, sparks magically fly, and life as he knows it changes forever.

Excerpt  (PG-ish)
Her lips pursed, [Cat Woman] stared down at him for a long moment. Then she muttered, “What the hell,” and dropped her very attractive behind onto the opposite seat. “So, this is your idea of an easy place to pick up chicks in costume?”
Not only was the question out of place, it bore an uncanny similarity to something he might have said to his cat. “Well…one in particular, I guess. What’s your name, by the way?”
She had to be joking. Or she obfuscated on purpose. He decided on the latter. After all, keeping one’s identity hidden made for a great exit strategy. “Mine’s Leo.”
She lifted the leather menu and opened it, blocking his view of her face. “I know.”
Madame Eve must employ a double standard, revealing the identity of men and not women. Another possible theory was Jack had forged the card and kept the woman’s details a secret on purpose. Both explanations seemed plausible. “What else do you know about me?”
She flipped a page. “Everything.”
Talk about unfair. Cat Woman must have received an actual profile, complete with a photo and an option to decline the date. “It might not be all true.”
She tilted the menu forward an inch, revealing the top half of her masked face. “What?”
“The profile you read. Jack has a weird sense of humor. You shouldn’t trust any of it.”
Her eyelids lowered into a slight squint, something the non-human Cat he knew had a habit of doing whenever he forgot to grab his keys. “I don’t follow.”
“It’s obvious you received some basic information about me.” When she shook her head, he waved off the denial. “It’s not a big deal, but I thought I should tell you someone else filled everything out. Since I hadn’t been offered a file on you at all, we should pretend this is a normal date and start over.”
With a shrug and a swift nod, she put the menu down, pulled her gloves off, and reached an arm across the table. The smile she sent him made his stomach do an unsettling flip. “My name is Catalina Gato. I’m a maid, accountant, and shape-shifting witch with a clueless boss and very meddlesome sister.”
What a sense of humor. Considering her costume, cat burglar would have been funnier, but she deserved bonus points for saying it all with a straight face. He took her hand and fought the odd urge to grab her, kiss her silly, and tear her clothes off.
The candle’s flame changed from blue to white. Then the fire shot up in a straight line, six inches high. Another round of nervous clapping followed.
Their palms still touching, he frowned. “Someone here must love Halloween. These special effects are over the top, not to mention dangerous.”
She shook her head and broke contact. Hints of disbelief and resignation laced her bell-like laugh. “Do you think Gomez has recovered enough to send a waiter our way?”

Leigh Ellwood here. I am thrilled to finally show off the cover for my upcoming 1Night Stand story with Decadent Publishing. Say hello to Paul and Barry of A CLASS ACT:

Barry Kellam receives a mysterious invitation from 1Night Stand and can’t imagine who would arrange a night of sexual passion with him...except perhaps a former student who’s gone on to greater things.

Paul Merrill is the toast of Broadway. While the awards and fame are nice, he wants to  share his success—and his body—with the man who inspired him. But Dr. Kellam isn’t  one to date fellow faculty or alumni. Will he answer Madame Eve’s call?

A CLASS ACT is my second 1Night Stand story, and while it's part of the "Class in Session" series, the story stands alone.

You don't have to read A DIFFERENT CLASS first, but you are welcome to do so. :) Meanwhile, I am also pleased to announce that Coming Together has accepted my M/M short, FOX'S HOLIDAY for the upcoming COMING TOGETHER: FOR THE HOLIDAYS collection. I don't think I've had a busier Fall, with four releases due out! Will have to plan an awesome giveaway for the multi-book launch. I am Leigh Ellwood. I write smutty stories about people who like getting naked and having sex. Some have more sex than others, some have sex with people of the same gender, some have sex with more than one person, and still others have sex with toys and things that require the use of batteries. My stories range from a few thousand words to well past 70k. I have won awards for writing, and I have received 5-star reviews. I have also received 1-star reviews and people have looked at me funny at cons and events. I enjoy reading, yoga, and rock music. I liked the 9th Doctor best. I don’t wear dresses. I won’t cut my hair or color it. I will not limit myself to one genre when it comes to writing. I write contemporary, paranormal, gay, lesbian, menage, geek, short, long, purposely funny and hilariously sad. If I never win a major award or make a list, I will live content in the fact that I have written something, and that’s the dream. Visit Leigh online: Website - Blog - Twitter - Facebook -

Psychic Dreams…What Are They Really All About?
It wasn’t until 1997 when someone close to me shared what she believed was a psychic dream. I had never heard of this so I tried to be as open-minded as I could. The more she spoke, the more interested I became. She talked about some of the dreams she’d had over the years and how she’d tried to stop them from coming. For a while, she tried to decipher them and figure out how to understand her gift. But nothing she did uncovered more understanding of the unwanted ability and soon she stopped speaking at all of her gift.
As the days rolled by, the writer in me began wondering what must it truly be like to have this ability, no way to control it and no one believing you? What would it be like to dream events and not be able to make a difference? How would a woman deal with the ability if it had gotten her into a lot of trouble? As the days rolled by, the seeds of Wake Me were planted.
Sarah, the heroine of the book, has run away from her home city in hopes of escaping her ability of dreaming the future and all the trouble it has caused. But her dreams refuse to leave her alone and soon after her arrival in Austin, she sees the death of a college graduate student. I had such a great time trying to get into her brain, to understand her motivations and her reluctance to explore her gift. And once Jesse, the detective hero, showed up on the page, he brought a whole new layer of complications, a layer I had so much fun uncovering. I hope you enjoy Wake Me!

Her psychic dreams come true.
Sarah McKinley’s attempts to take her foreknowledge of crimes to the Seattle Police Department marked her as a troublemaker and were never taken seriously. Starting over in Austin, she plans never to reveal her gift, but shortly after she arrives, the dreams begin again, and the local police want to know why she has knowledge only the killer could possess.
Detective Jesse Cordell watched his mother con people with her “psychic ability” all through his childhood. He hones in on Sarah, who has means, motive, and opportunity to have murdered the victim in his current investigation. Instinct tells him she didn’t commit the crime, but she definitely knows more than she’s letting on.
Can he put aside his doubts and join forces with her, against everything he believes in, to find the real killer? Or will he do his job and put her behind bars? After all, there’s no such thing as the “psychic ability.” Or is there?

The buzz around her head grew louder as more students joined the crowd. Yellow tape secured the crime scene several yards away, but limbs still stuck over the cement edge of the water fountain.
A guy in plain clothes ducked under the tape and ventured toward them. A gold shield hung from his belt. “Can anybody tell me what happened?”
“She can!” a male voice from behind called out.
Hoping to take attention off herself, Sarah joined the other students in whirling around to see who the guy meant. Several voices rushed toward the man, accosting him with different versions of the crime. Sarah floated through the sea of people, away from the crowd.
For the nine months, she’d lived in Austin, she’d never mentioned a word about her so-called psychic gift. Almost a full year had passed. She’d started to think she would be normal again.
But a brand-new dream reminded her she would always be different.
Heading toward the street, she picked up her steps. Don’t look back. You’ve done enough damage.
“Miss! Hey, wait up!”
“Damn.” She slowed her feet. No point in trying to run. She’d look guilty of something then the cops would have a reason to haul her off the school campus in cuffs.
Turning, she came face-to-face with the striking plain-clothes cop. “I’m Detective Cordell with Austin Police.” He stood at least six inches taller than she, his jet-black hair sheared in a standard cut for police. The bulk of his chest stretched the material of his short-sleeved dress shirt. With dark eyes and sexy confidence, he was all sorts of captivating. If he hadn’t been such a threat to her freedom, she might even have called him handsome. “Do you have a minute? I’d like to ask you some questions.”
There died his charm.

Savannah's Journey is my latest contemporary romance. A chance encounter offers a season of change. Can a lonely journalist keep herself from running into the arms of a charismatic, sexy doctor when she holds a secret past hidden deep inside her heart?

I love the characters in this story. They've become good friends of mine. Their struggles are close to my heart. I enjoy writing romance that weaves in family drama and the struggles that need to be addressed before we can open our hearts to love.

My characters and I become a team. I get to know their backgrounds, fears, insecurties, desires, and darkest secrets. I take my time choosing the right person to represent them in my imaginary movie. It's fun to see if my readers agree. Do you have ideas of your own?

Do you think I got the characters right for this one? My hero may be wearing a shirt, and a bare chested hero is hot,  but I think he looks like a doctor in this photo. I can see this actor in the role. I had so much fun writing this story, it's exciting to pick a dream cast.

A Summer’s Enchantment, book 2 in the Moonlight and Jasmine Series.

Cassandra Wales, and independant and determined registered nurse finds her plans for the future shattered when her boyfriend dumps her. Her witchcraft made him squirm, but she wasn't about to change him. The move into her new  home keeps her distracted and she'll be sure to keep an eye out for red flags next time. She never expected to find an elderly woman, accompanied by her her hot and sexy grandson Jake at her doorstep with an odd request. Sparks sizzle between Cassandra and Jake. Bad timing for sure. Will she be able to trust a man who has women begging for his attention?

Jake Hill is an ambitious, up and coming lead singer in a rock band. When his grandmother asks him to drive her over to her first home, he doesn't question her motives. Instead, he meets the woman of his dreams. But will she stick around whiles he climbs the ladder in the exciting world of rock and roll?

How will Jake find the time to nuture a relationship when his music takes top billing? Can the passion between them be enough to lead the way, or will fear of failure take control of their destiny?

When I was asked to cast book 2 in the Moonlight and Jasmine Series by my book tour company, I had no problem. Do you think my choices fit?

I find it interesting to learn the inspiration for a story. The ideas usually stem from something that stands out in my mind. Savannah's Journey book 1 in the City Lights Series came to me when I was thinking about my teen years. My closest friends and I marched in a colorguard. We loved prancing down the road during a parade. One Saturday I was home sick and my friends called me franic over something that happened. One of our friends became ill. There was a reason for her dizziness and all hell broke lose. She was fine, but what happened next tore her apart. I won't give away the storyline. You'll have to pick up a copy of Savannah's Journey to find out what happenned. Of course I changed the story to make it fit into my characters life, but the basic idea remains the same. If you like contemporary romance, give it a try.
