GRAND PRIZE DRAW!

1st Place: Kindle Fire

2nd Place: $50 Amazon gift certificate

Happy Spring everyone!  The winter is over, even thought there's still a chill in the air, but it's official!

It's the time of year when things change. Buds appear in our yards, birds chirp outside of our windows, and during this wonderful time of year, love blossoms.

Falling for the first time is a wonderful experience. It doesn't matter if you are young or older, the first time you get butterflies in the pit of your stomach when you meet the man of your dreams is a memorable event. Do you remember your first kiss with someone special...first date...first time he said I love you?  These are the moments we cherish. We can hold the precious memories deep inside our hearts as we grow in the relationship.

My contemporary romance, A Summer's Journey is coming soon to Rebel Ink Press.

UNEDITED BLURB

Savannah Mason fought for independence since she was a young girl, smothered by a controlling father who  insisted she take over his medical practice one day.  Now, at thirty, alienated from her father, the career minded journalist spends long hours at her job, hoping to take the spot as anchor.

The last thing she wants is a relationship, especially one with a divorced doctor who has two small children.

On her darkest day twelve years ago, she agreed to give her own baby up for adoption, and never even had the chance to hold her.  Now, on her daughter’s birthday, a chance encounter gives Savannah an opportunity to explore a corner of her heart she thought was lost forever.

Rob Sinclair is a renowned surgeon and a NY Times best-selling author. He meets with Savannah's boss to set up a promo spot on their television show, The News Stop.  When Savannah gets the interview, over the senior reporter, a door opens to her future.  However, first she must face the sorrow of her past and cast away the agony of guilt, before she is free to accept love.

A man, who seems all wrong for her, slowly weaves himself into her heart.  Will he accept her when he learns about her past?

Rob’s commitment to climb the ladder of success and provide a good life for his family, keeps him on the road.  He is determined to push forward, despite the heartache of a broken marriage.  His deepest fear is being an absent parent.  When he meets Savannah Mason, desire and passion awaken his broken spirit.  Will he ever be able to trust another woman?

Savannah and Rob’s strong attraction to one another is undeniable. Together, they follow the path to a place where an honest, forgiving heart, can open their eyes, and help guide them both home.  Will it be enough to last a lifetime?

 UNEDITED EXCERPT   FIRST KISS

Rob slowly approached her.  The look in his eyes told her he had more than the view on his mind. Savannah started to turn away…afraid of what was to come next.  Before she could stop him, they were too close for comfort. An electric energy surged between them.  With one swift movement, Rob reached for her and gently placed his lips on hers.  He cradled her head in his hands as if she was a precious jewel.  The warmth of his touch, sent shivers down her spine. The world stood still… When Rob’s hands moved slowly across her back, her body went limp, and it took her to a level of arousal she never expected.  It all happened so quickly, she didn’t have time to react.  She found herself spellbound by the feel of his rock hard body pressed up against her chest.  All of the emotions she had kept inside, emerged when Rob held her tight. When they finally parted, Savannah stood frozen in shock… her heart pounding…and her ears ringing.

One of you will win a 20.00 gift card to Amazon, and an ebook copy of A Summer's Journey when it is released.  Make a comment to be added to my contest, and you can enter to be included in the contest for the GRAND PRIZE below.

I will always remember my first love. I think as women, it is a very special time for us. I also remember my first kiss, although that isn't the best memory. :) Your book sounds great. I love love that is hard to get to. When it is too easy in books, it just doesn't seem realistic to me. I cannot wait to read it.

Best wishes,
Marlena

I remember meeting my husband for the first time. I was at a company Christmas party with my mom, who also worked there and was friends with my husband. We were dancing, my mom and I, when my husband and a few of his friends walked over to talk to my mom. He asked me to dance and we had an amazing time. It took him 2 years to ask me out, but he eventually did and we are very happy! :)
Congrats on your upcoming release, Kathleen! It sounds like a great read.
